Women contribution to psychology?
Women have been under appreciated for many year for their work. In 1912 the first women, Margaret Washburn, was award a PhD in psychology. Many women before had attempted to receive a PhD but failed. That has changed tremendously, as of today, almost 70 percent of psychology majors, and over half of all new psychology doctorates are women.
When did psychology become disciplined and who arethe two main?
Psychology became discipline in 1879 in German laboratory. the two founders were Wilhem Wondn't and William James.

What are the levels of analysis and how are these levels illustrated by human use and experience of music?
Level of analysis provides an increasingly complete picture of behavioral and mental processes. Their are four levels of analysis; biological, individual, social, cultural. Biological deals with the physical body contributing to the minnd and behavior. Individual focus on individual difference in personality and mental process of how people look at the world. Social involves how group context affects people's ways of interracting. Cultural deals with how different cultures shape the thoughts, feelings, and actions of the people in them. Music affectemotional states, thought processes, and even how the brain perceives sound .
Example of the adaptive value of the mind.
with the mind storing your memory which allows the body to profit from experience of memory.

How are the mind and body related to each oher?
the mind and body are related to each t hrough the concept of dualism . dualism is the idea of the mind and body being seperate but intwind. Descartes explains that the body is nothing more than an organic machine, governed by reflex. Many mental functions such as memory and imagination, resulted from bodily functions.
why is pschology an emperical science?
it an emperical science beause its reasearch is done through direct contact of the brain and body behavior.
what is pschological science?
it is the study of mind, brian, and behavior. it sdies the mental activity, the actions of nerve cells, and their associated chemical reaction with the brain.
